Paintings
Creativity has always been a constant in my life, and it naturally led me to study communication and illustration design at the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg. From the beginning, I knew I wanted to build a career rooted in visual storytelling and creative expression.
My work moves between fluid techniques inspired by water, movement, and transformation. I enjoy working with paint in an intuitive yet controlled way, creating ruptures and fractured effects that reveal a sense of tension beneath the surface. These visual breaks reflect, for me, the idea of a planet in change - fragile, shifting, and under pressure. The main inspiration behind my practice remains water and the ocean. Movement, layering, and texture are central to how I build depth and emotional resonance.
I keep my illustration and painting practices deliberately separate. My illustration work often includes fine, detailed drawing such as stippling, and my paintings have served as backgrounds in many of my illustrations and books. I photograph sections of my painted work, zoom into details, and sometimes adjust colours digitally to create new visual layers that integrate into my narratives. My paintings themselves remain abstract and intuitive, focused on movement, emotion, and the essence of water, without literal interpretation.
Over the years, I have been fortunate to exhibit my work internationally.
My work is available through Artsper.
